Skyllermarks' angled cable lugs are of double annealed tinned copper and fits well in narrow spaces

Double annealing

Unprocessed copper is soft, but it stiffens when processed. This means that processed copper, in tubular cable lugs, slowly resiles to its original shape if pressed around a cable. You can get processed copper to soften again by annealing it. It is a process where copper is heated up to 400 ° C and then cooled off.
In order to ensure that our tubular cable lugs do not resile, the tubular cable lugs are annealed twice (hence the name of double annealing). This makes them soft and easy to press. It also makes them stiff only when the tubular cable lug is firmly pressed on the cable. Therefore, the pressing can maintain its contact throughout the life of the cable.

The tubular cable lugs are made of a double annealed copper with a tinned surface. They are deliberately designed without inspection holes in order to not let oxygen into the cable.

Due to the double annealing the lugs do not resile back to tubular form after being pressed.
The hexagonal pressure of the cable lugs provides perfect durability, tightness, and connection with the copper thread.

The angled tubular cable lugs are sold by piece and are order goods. Count with three weeks delivery time. We also sell splices by piece.
